When I opened this book for the first time my eyes welled with tears knowing that my grandpa’s hands and eyes had used this book for his own bird watching pleasure. Not only is it a neat, old book about North American birds but it was his. Now about the book itself: The book has seen better days and has definitely been used quite a bit. - Buy Through Grandpa's Eyes (Harper Trophy Book) book online at best prices in India on Read Through Grandpa's Eyes (Harper Trophy Book) book reviews & author details and more at Free delivery on qualified orders.5/5(17).

Grandpa explained, “When folks stopped using real books, bookshelf wallpaper came into fashion for a while. Because, you know, a room full of books is a very special place. Each book is a passage to another world — a ride on a magic carpet or a trip through a time machine. And it's Grandpa who gets him all tangled up with the Pritchard boys' bet. Billy doesn't want to have anything to do with it, but Grandpa won't let the bet go—and it leads straight to Rubin's death. So, grandpa may be the oldest character in the book, but he also seems like the least mature.

Parents need to know that, as the title hints, Grandpa's Great Escape is best-selling British author David Walliams' homage not just to the love between a year-old boy and his grandfather, once an RAF flying ace but now suffering from dementia, but to the entire genre of WWII prisoner-of-war sagas, especially The Great Escape. Set in in 4/5.   Written from a child’s point of view, this touching picture book centers around a nontraditional family of grandparents raising their grandchild. Sometimes It’s Grandmas and Grandpas shares a child’s experience living with and being cared for by grandparents through the eyes of a cheerful and delightful little girl. Uplifting watercolor.
